I never planned to be a photographer. The real story is I went to law school and practiced for a while. A few years ago, I bought a camera. For as long as I can remember, I have seen pictures. Now, I create them all over the world. My successes are a direct reflection of the doors God has opened in my life. Without Him, none of this would be possible. It is a gift. Not one that is mine to keep rather to share. Photography has stolen my heart.
A little about me… My closet is full of vintage t-shirts, but not enough. I love a guy in a tailored suit and backwards ball cap, though preferably not at the same time. The only thing better than a backwards hat on a guy is a bandana do-rag. I love great interior design. I enjoy vanilla ice cream cones. If it’s not job-related, I’m usually shy at first. Vintage cars are my love. My favorite shoes are a pair of vintage Nike Oregon Waffle sneakers or a pair of designer heels. My celebrity crush is Ryan Gosling. I like lipstick. I miss my International Scout. If and/or when I get married, I’ll elope. I am most inspired by beautiful light. I would rather be in Jackson Hole, WY. I believe that life is too beautiful for bad photography. I style most of my shoots. All I really want is access.
My work can be found in Architectural Digest, One Kings Lane, J.Crew.com, Town&Country, Country Living, Billboard Magazine, Domino, Women’s Wear Daily, Better Homes and Gardens, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, RED for Target, LAN Airlines plus in several wedding magazines and blogs. In 2014, I was honored to make Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars for 2014.
This is a picture of me teaching in Paris taken by a Frenchie named Tom Cay.
